Are you a therapist who are feeling stretched, unsure or impacted by the trauma work you are holding?
I offer warm, relational trauma-informed supervision to help you feel more confident, grounded and supported in your practice.
WHO IT IS FOR
For trainee and qualified therapists, counsellors and counselling psychologists who:
- Work with trauma or complex presentations
- Want to feel more confident and less alone in their work
- Are looking for space to reflect on both client work and their own responses
- overwhelming at times
- hard to make sense of
- easy to second-guess yourself after sessions
It is actually common to wonder whether you are doing it wrong, you are not but trauma work is just complex work.
NHS STAFF
When was the last time supervision actually felt like space for you?
If you are working in the NHS, supervision can often become:
- task-focused
- risk-driven
- centred on service pressures
Then what about the emotional impact of the work? Unfortunately that often gets pushed aside, but holding trauma, distress, and complexity all day does have an impact. It can often lead to compassionate fatigue and without the right support, NHS staff exposed to ongoing distress and trauma can develop secondary stress, secondary trauma, vicarious trauma and burnout. This would, understandably, impact both your wellbeing and ability to work effectively.
HOW I CAN SUPPORT YOU
Supervision with me can help you:
- Understand the neurobiology of trauma
- Work safely with dysregulation and dissociation
- Develop a more attuned, body-aware presence
- Navigate complex trauma with confidence
- Reflect on your own somatic and attachment responses
All this will facilitate you to work effectively and ethically, while taking good care of yourself too.
WHAT MAKES SUPERVISION WITH ME DIFFERENT
Supervision wouldn’t just be case discussions, or you being left to your own devices after discussing clients.
My approach focuses on your experience as a therapist, including:
- Your nervous system and somatic responses

This deeper awareness helps you:

My Trauma-Informed Supervision Approach
My supervision is grounded in the 7-Eyed Model, adapted through a trauma- and attachment-informed lens.
We explore not only your client work and therapeutic relationships but also your own somatic and emotional responses that arise in the process. This includes noticing shifts in your nervous system, attachment patterns triggered during sessions, and your capacity for boundary-setting and self-care.
The supervision is relational and flexible, sessions might involve reflective exploration, practical problem-solving or simply holding space for you to process.
I encourage supervisees to guide what we focus on, making supervision relevant to where you are at in your professional journey.
This embodied and relational approach supports your clinical development and personal resilience, fostering your ability to be present with clients while caring for your own wellbeing.
Professional Experience
With over 20 years in mental health, my career spans NHS and private practice settings.
Key roles include:
- Residential Youth Worker supporting young people with complex needs, inc; trauma and attachment difficulties
- Lead Clinician at a domestic abuse charity supporting mothers escaping emotional abuse
- Specialist Trauma and Attachment Therapist working with looked-after children and families
- Founder and full-time therapist at Stepping Stones Psychology, specialising in trauma, attachment, PTSD, and complex PTSD
My doctoral training in Counselling Psychology (BPS-accredited) included placements in NHS adult psychology and CAMHS, with experience working across adults, couples, children, young people and families.
I have completed all clinical and taught components of a BPS-accredited Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. The final thesis component is scheduled to commence in 2026, and the doctorate has not yet been formally awarded. In the meantime, I hold a Master’s-level Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Psychology and Counselling. My training and clinical experience already meet doctoral-level standards, and I practice with the knowledge, skills, and expertise this provides.
Personal Background
As a therapist of colour from a minority Asian background, my personal history includes fleeing the Sri Lankan civil war and living as a refugee in Denmark. This background gives me a nuanced understanding of generational trauma, cultural challenges, and resilience.
I am also a mother to a neurodivergent adult son with hidden disabilities, and I live with chronic health conditions myself. These experiences deepen my empathy and awareness, especially when working with supervisees who bring additional layers of complexity to their practice.
I am committed to creating a culturally sensitive, compassionate and supportive supervision space where all therapists can grow and thrive.
This will be a place where I will be sharing on-going information and resources. These will be related to general mental health and well-being, trauma-specific, current affairs, and also supportive messages for other mental health professionals.
